Yes We Can

Last night I caught the live DNC broadcast of Barack Obama's speech having now officially received the democratic party's nomination to run for President of the United States.

I can definitely say I was an Obama fan before he became popular. From day one he has impressed me with his speeches and solutions. Now mind you I understand that candidates will spew anything and everything to their public in order to get the votes, but have lived in Obama's home state and seeing the changes he had put into effect, shows his drive, his determination to create an America that the Forefathers would be proud of.

He made a wonderful point last night, we all put America first, the Republicans seem to run on their highs about how patriotic they are, they stand for the country they love.
Well I ask you this.. If you love this country so much, wouldn't you do anything in your power to make it better for everyone, even if it meant that you will need to step out of your comfort zone?

The Republicans have had 8 years to prove what they could do, they have driven this country into a position of worry, they undid all the good President Clinton had done while being Commander in Chief, say what you will about the man, he had his faults, but when it came to running a country he was damn good at it.

I see the look in Obama's eyes, he didn't come from money, he had no trust fund, all he had was determination and drive and today he is standing in front of us all asking that we would listen and really think about what we want this country to stand for.

McCain, as Obama so wonderfully pointed out, is a war vet, he has served this country and should be praised for it, he has shown his loyalty to this country, but he has been in the senate for 26 years and has yet to change anything, he believes in Bush, he will run this country with pages of Bush's book. The last thing this country needs is another "war, fight, protect" mentality.

This country needs to start seeing the bigger picture, and I truly believe that Obama sees outside of the box.

I believe that other countries officials will be happy to work with Obama, they will help him to help them.

We will see a positive change in this country, it will be better than ever if we just take that one chance.

To all the undecided, or even the ones that are sure they have decided, make sure you have looked at the better picture, which of the candidates are looking out for everyone as a whole, this is the person that deserves your vote, not the person that happens to be on the ballot for your party.

We don't just stand for red or blue, we are a nation of red, white and blue. Take another look!!

The Goppers are all about protecting the rich, and fleecing everyone else. If that's "patriotism," keep it.

Napoleon said that religion is what keeps the peasants from stringing up the aristocrats, and he couldn't have been more right. Just look at Palin, and what fringe she comes from.
