The Last Day

So here we are at the last day of the year, I have a bottle of champagne and sitting (alone) in front of the tv watching some random tween movie (there's nothing else on!!), reflecting back on what's been an absolutely trying year. I'm actually quite glad, because I am so ready to start a new year.

Even though it'll take half the year before things get back to normal

This is my third year in a row that I have been alone on New Years, J has had duty every time and even now he's halfway around the world, on duty again and me home alone.

Will this new year be any different?

A new year, a new semester looming, so many things that I am set to do this next year.
I just hope that this new year will bring much easier times.
