Friends

I remember when I was younger my brother use to say

Don't worry about what other people are doing, or who is friends with whom, after school no one will be friends with the same people anymore and a lot you'll never see again.

This irked me, because I just knew I would still be friends with the same people, and of course I'll still see everyone, I mean what would happen right?

So lo and behold he was right. I am now as far away as humanly possible. I haven't seen most of my friends in such a longtime, and when I see pictures of them now, I can't believe how much they have changed.

One thing that was not anticipated are those friends that just stay with you forever.
those are the ones that you randomly think of when stopped at a red light, or taking out the trash.... just wondering where they are and what they are doing.

It just makes you feel a little less like yourself, because you haven't been in contact with them. You have no idea why, but those people have just made an imprint in your life that will stay with you till the day you die.

I have some of those people and I think about them a lot, I'm just glad that I've been able to reunite with some of them.

I just hope never to lose those memories.
