Aww Bonobos.

My favorite primates, I would have to say are the Bonobos, these are exceptional primates, even though Chimpanzees are said to be the closest to humans, and Bonobos, being their ‘cousins’ are just amazing.



Coming from just the Democratic Republic of Congo, and were the last primates to have been discovered, these little guys have legends that are told about them from the natives in the area, all about them helping people in need etc., they are definitely overlooked.



As one saw with the testing of Sherman and Austin, the little Bonobo did much better at the testing, this after following its mother to the testing area and learning while watching her get tested, this showed learning ability on the part of the Bonobo, showing that primates do have the ability (at least the Bonobo does), to learn like and infant does with its parents.



I also like the fact that the females run the show, its good to see that going on at least somewhere.
